I borrowed the PS discs from a friend, installed it but it doesn't run. As soon as I get into the game, and try to move, the program crashes. The first time, the program hung and looped the sound. 2nd time my puter rebooted, 3rd time PS just crashed to the desktop.

I recently upgraded to XP from 98, but I did a clean install, rather than putting it over 98.

I tried the usual get-all-the-new-drivers fix, no dice.

I'm running an Athlon 1800+, 256 MB ram, Soundblaster Live!, GeForce2 64MB. Maybe my setup isn't powerful enough to run the game?

I'll also try the AGP aperture fix when i get a chance.

It sounds mostly like its just choking on the game. As soon as you get in the game, try and get into video options and crank it WAY down. 256 ram is your main killer.
