stupid full contenent

i think haveing pop caps suxxors major...yesterday i only had one choice to take my squad to because the other 2 warpgsates were closed because the contenent is full. this was coming off of the sanctuary. Hopefully they will be able to have more people when they fix lag problems

Its been crazy these last two days, its been so laggy on Werner its unbelievable and in these last two days I have had more lockups than I have had since I bought PS...its crazy and I hate it, I can't even lead my squad around a corner without locking up..:mad:

wihtout pop caps the lag would kill everyone. You'd be holding down the accelerate button for 5 seconds and you'd never stop moving....:rolleyes:

OMG, just thought of this, what would happen if all THREE warpgates heading out of the sanctuary were full?!?!?!?! Just imagine the people getting pissed off. I for one would be so bored I'd result to sadistic methods of tk if it ever got to that.........................................

i understand the lag issues that would come with no pop cap but thats why were paying per month....why cant they just upgrade or buy better servers

If you ask me SOE should have had a more extensive beta, that was one of the shortest and pointless betas I've ever seen. Only thing I rember ever changing durring beta was balancing of weapons. :mad:

But anywho I think once SOE fixes their sucky servers, if ever, they should increase the pop cap to maybe 600 or 800. We are after all playing $50 to buy this game and then $13 a month to play this game. :D

Wasnt aware the pop cap was that low. I hardly ever have problems with pop caps. Just hart in to the cont, it will let you. Plus it puts you ahead of all the retards sitting around in the warpgate lol.

in a couple of weeks all friendly locked continents will be pop capped, and the rest will be enemy locked.

in that situation, you'll either be stuck in the Sanc forever, or not be able to log on :-/

There is probably a limit to what hardware and bandwidth can handle :p

Allot of the lag we see now is due to the fact you can bypass "full" continents by using a dropship. Thus bringing the cont over designed capacities..

This wont happen anymore come the next patch. You will also be able to see where you can and cant go via the world map. That should slow the huge lag we see on emerald

most people arnt going to switch servers for the simple reason that they are fairly high in battle ranks. or they have a good outfit going. if they could move player data to another server I'm sure some outfits wouldnt mind switching over.


oh and on a side note, SOE has some of the best servers around hardware wise for this game. it takes a lot more to power this beast of a FPS than your candy ass EQ, ya jabroni. :D
