How cool is Planetside? So awesome that an expansion pack is already being worked on for this fall. New weapons, maps, and vehicles are on the top of the list, and we hear that you may be given the chance to form platoons.

First off, we kno platoons are coming and is the lodestar. but MAPS!, and WEAPONS! first off it was in the "loose talk" section of the magizin....but really, this fall.....which month does fall start?


maps......all water maps, all sky maps?......flamethrowers?.......sam sites .......

sad to hear that one of the most anticipated features in Planetside (platoons) are going to be released in an expansion pack.

i can give a rats ass bout new weapons and new vehicles. throw some meat on the lackluster gameplay

They've already said that flamethrowers ain't happening haven't they? Thought the dynamics of the whole thing proved too difficult for what it would accomplish.

They designed the game to have a flamer but when they tested it in alpha with only the designers they realised that even with a minimal number of people it would lag too much...

They could do a plasma thrower tho... dunno have to think of a concept!

I sure hope they don't plan on postponing things like platoons, Lodestar and extra maps (i.e., water maps and naval combat)- these things were promised as core game additions.

how would that work?
i mean if some1 doesnt get the xpansion pack can they just like not go somewhere i think thats kind of gay. I mean WTF do we pay 4. What they should do is make it so u can download the xpansion pack 4 free or u can buy it for a cheap price.
