From the last interview with Dave Georgeson it doent sound like we'll missing out on a whole lot because the Platoon feature is going to be a seperate chat channel where all members of each of the 3 squads can talk together. Even if they add some moderator controls (which they probably wont)... they can keep the platoon feature, dont waste time implementing it, fix other things that should be simple, like the top speed and acceleration of all tanks.

i personally don't care if they add platoons or not. As it is my outfit only uses half a squad at a time, and we usually don't take members outside our outfit to fill a squad. I personally don't see what the big thing is. I would rather then fix the frame rates, gameplay issues and server issues then add platoons
