Ok so I've been playing today and I get to a base that we've hacked, the first one of the day, and then I remember. "OH yeah enemies can respawn here!" So I rush to the spawn room and I find... 5+ people with standard exos just sitting there trying to set up maybe some kind of.... defense? Its really cool that you can spawn at hacked bases and all but, if you dont have a hacker spawning with you, you're screwed as far as gear goes. Oh well I suppose its easier for cappers to get exp now. Camp away folks.

Aye, it's gonna spawn camping heaven, tbh I think that's more of a Vanu/NC thing tho, I rarely see TR doing that, we just knock out the gen/spawn tubes...well on werner at least.

The thing is, and this is true and I've noticed it, people get to a door and they just sit there cause they don't seem to realise they have an REK in their items..lol

TR anchors down their MAX in front of spawn tube and when you come out your in 1000 pieces... chaingun is also good for spawn camping... any heavy weapons for that matter.

I think this was more designed for bases were there was a battle raging there still and just a phantom or small crew got through.

In that case defenders respawing in the base makes sense since they then don't get booted off the continent.

On the other hand defenders spawning at a base they've completely lost?

Bad idea on the part of the idiot spawning, go spawn somewhere else.

Yeah, but you could use the REK that all STD spawn with to hack the locker to get the REK in your locker... Thats my guess

Which i find dumb. The ONLY purpose it has right now is to keep enemy weapons which i think is kinda lame cause you can get enemy weapons all the time and most of the time you won't have it very long anyway.

TBH, I've used my locker only to put enemy weapons in... I've not yet withdrawn a single item from it.

And don't flame me, but what does "STD" mean in the context of Squick's post?

Like squick said, you can just use the rek that you automatically spawn with.... but that isnt the point here. The point is that if you spawn and you dont have hacking(adv hacking now) you CANT use the equipment terminals. so your only hope is that you have some hackers spawning with you.
