Public Test has been updated with the release of Hossin! Additionally it includes some more ESF tweaks, Drop Pod Optimizations and more.
We’ve made a subsection of Hossin available in preparation for SOE Live. You can get there by clicking the “Warp to Hossin” button on the Warpgate Terminal screen that’s been taunting you for all this time. Check Big Lots Ad and Bilo Ad.
Only the center of the continent is available with some temp structures to support the smaller size, but you’ve now got a decent chunk of Hossin to play with. The new interlink facility is there too, so go nuts and give us any of your bugs and feedback.
So be sure to patch up public test and check out the latest continent, Hossin!

Re: Hossin Available NOW on Public Test only spent 3h in there so my opinion is still a WIP: It's a pain to move around in vehicles as wel as it is for aircraft to do A2G, apart from bases. It has a few nice base designs. One thing I think will be fun there is galaxy dropping. With travel time as it is, and A2G limited: I bet galaxies will be hot transport on hossin. Oh yea, and instant death water! Devs = please add underwater ala Tribes2: where you could fly your shrike underwater to come up the other side of a lake or navigate underwater channels at high speed. |

Re: Hossin Available NOW on Public Test I was able to ask Matt some questions about Hossin that are somewhat irrelevant now since everyone can see it  But I asked him if they applied everything they learned from the Indar redesign and the Esamir redesign and he said they went back and retooled it numerous times before releasing what you are seeing now. Additionally it looks like they are going to do a "phased release" of the continent to get feedback along the way before full release. I was able to observer cam around it a bit the day it released and I must say it was extremely impressive. It's not vehicle friendly overall, but vehicles will still have a role. I cannot wait to play Infiltrator on this map. |
