PlanetSide Universe at Fan Faire 2011!

This past week John Smedley tweeted that we will hear a Big Announcement about PlanetSide Next at the upcoming SOE Fan Faire. I am happy to report that PlanetSide Universe will be on the ground in Las Vegas bringing you all the latest news as it happens! During the event we will be using Twitter and Facebook as well as the news page to broadcast any announcements that are made.

Update: Earlier today the SOE Fan Faire iPhone app was updated. And it now contains PlanetSide 2 on the schedule officially:

So it's now officially on the schedule and named "PlanetSide 2" rather than PlanetSide Next.

Got a feeling it's a troll, note the song name. Only large areas or events got their own music like travel_volcano, vs_sanctuary, and nc_orbital_platform. The reference of a café might be meant to imply a hub world for instanced rounds. Such a thing we would all loathe.

Unless one of the bases is a giant underground meat packing plant which would be AWESOME.

I don't know what seems more believable, that a account named FanFareSOE posted that clip on Youtube or that some random dude says that he confirms its real.

Of course the music is real... Otherwise we wouldn't be able to hear it, now would we? I somehow doubt it'll be in the final version of Planetside 2 though :P
