How will this effect the future of Planetside and the community that always enjoyed his antics? Discuss this and more on our forums. On behalf of the Planetside community... Goodbye and good luck, T. Ray!Well folks, my time here has come, as of Friday, February 18th, I will no longer be a part of the PS/SOE family. After 4 wonderful years, I fell it is time for me to move on to other things. In my 11 years of game development, I've worked with many talented individuals, but none as committed to a game as the people that I worked with on PlanetSide. It's funny; I can remember my first day in the St Louis office like it was yesterday. Yet strangely enough, yesterday seemed like a blur.
We've had some good times and some not so good times, but throughout it all, we remained committed to the game. Most importantly, we remained a team. I would like to thank all of my producers and team members, past and present, for allowing me to learn from them as well as through my own methods. I would especially like to thank the PS art team for "holdin me down" over the years ("hold me down" is a slang term that means "watching ones back" this is considered a good thing. This art team has taught me how to properly manage a diverse group of individuals. I am grateful for all the discussions, meetings, critiques, and closed door sessions. Thanks.
And of course, I can not forget the community. Every one of you has made this game what it is today. We made this game for you, the players. The community has been nothing less than spectacular. Thanks for all the fresh ideas. Without the fans, PS would be nothing. I will miss you all. I know PS will continue to evolve to become the ultimate first person online action game. Thanks for playing and your continued support.
I will be around from time to time "tap dat a$$" so you best watch yo back when Im in the game.
Please believe, its on like condoms in a brothel.
Im outta dis mug, 2 fingers

10 years is a long time for someone to be in the games industry, although it might not seem like that for most people. T-Ray, you will be missed as part of the SOE Team for PlanetSide, but I hope to still see you in the game. |

T-Ray was with the game for longer than anyone else that we know about. He was a great guy and loved having fun and posting in the community. I had the honor of meeting him several times in San Diego as well as in Orlando. He will be missed, but I am sure he will move on and help create the next big game. Good luck to you T-Ray, you will be missed by the PS community. |
