Need more details, but it sounds like Smed just saved a ton of PS2 subs.

this is really good to see and to be honest very unexpected.
Potentially happy grins on a Monday now thats magic (I think the EQ community was the real driving force here and I saw some very big EVE outfits questioning if they would take up the game not just Test) |

You people need to STOP thinking about Planetside when you think about lag. Planetsides Client side hit detection, movment prediction etc is AWFUL. Its what made the game possible at that time, couldnt have been any other way back then, but it was a awful solution. Those problems from it wont appear in Planetside 2. You wont get that crazy warping, you wont get that crazy lag, but it wont be as bad. You will still see a difference between someone with a ping of 50 and someone with a ping of 150, but its most likley that extremly small that it doesnt matter. |

Seriously though, people need to stop comparing PS1 and PS2 in these ways. |

While BF3 is a whole different game, but it's actually quite a big difference to play on a 150ms server in comparison to a 50ms server.
I do however agree that comparing to Planetside isn't viable. It uses so antique netcode.
