News: Community Night August 2012

The Auraxis Global Network will be taking to the airwaves again in August for another Community Night! Tune in Saturday August 25th at 7PM Central Daylight Time (US). That is 5PM Pacific and Sunday at 12:00AM GMT for those overseas (<a href="http://www.timezoneconverter.com/cgi-bin/tzc.tzc" target="_blank">time zone converter</a>). Basti will be meeting with the Developers at Gamescom Germany and will be on the show to discuss his experiences. And as always we will be doing multiple video guests! Our topics will include:

Basti @ Gamescom Germany
Smed Blog, eSports Support
Smed Blog, NPC Armies and Enemies
Smed Blog, Seamless Continents

I advise keeping the esport thingamajiig to the forum, not the Community Night, because it is going to be an either heated discussion, or everyone agrees to that esports are bad, and make many people sad, because of another case of extreme conservism on TV.

Yeah my initial thought on e-sports was adding ridiculous elements that broke the immersion of scifi future war. After Smedley spelled out that they are giving broadcasters tools, I didn't mind. Might make it easier for more advertisement of the game by peers, giving us more people to fight or friend

Honestly I could give a rats ass about guild wars 2.

I also don't think not talking about their planned esports implementation is a good idea it's an awesome topic for discussion.

Since there is an NDA we are very limited for topics these days and I want to keep doing the shows.

I'm not going to reschedule for some other game this is a PlanetSide show.

Is Basti going to be able to discuss his experiences in any kind of detail because of the NDA though?

Or will it be more like the last show where the community guys that were on just talked about how awesome everything feels and looks.

We are going to talk about the topics at hand which have nothing to do with the NDA

did you read the topic list?

these are all things in no way covered by an NDA.

Also Basti is attending Gamescom which isn't under an NDA it's a media event

I did read the list, yes. I didn't realize it'd be ok for him to speak about it just because he was at a media evet. That makes sense though, sorry for being stupid

Hehe it's cool. Yea media events are different. I'm able to talk about my experiences at the various media events I've been to

Though it can be hard to separate what one can and can't talk about sometimes lol

Hard to do the show with the beta NDA these days it's taken this long to get another show going.
