It's a tech test. They specifically said you shouldn't focus on getting in because most likely you're not, and besides they're going to be getting asked to do some weird stuff. Also some EU players did get in test latency.

While they might be asking players to do weird stuff for the tech test, I imagine getting an invite now means one is guaranteed access to the rest of the testing phases by default. They haven't mentioned otherwise anyway...
