Who else is excited?
I'm one of those "Paulbots" everyone keeps denouncing, and I'm extremely excited to see Santorum go belly up. I really believe that a Paul victory is imminent and so unexpected that it will attack Romney from behind. I guess it has to get pretty bad for people to realize that actual change needs to come - big stuff has happened and people are finally starting to realize it. I'm excited. |

I'm a Ron Paul supporter too. In fact, I registered republican just so I could vote in the primary for him. Thank god we no longer have a frothy mixture of lube and fecal matter that is sometimes the by-product of anal sex running for president.

Ron Paul will never be President. It would be interesting to see what happens to a country that abolishes its food and drug regulation bureaus and lets states do basically whatever they want, though, so I kind of wish he were the one to win.
But, thankfully, neither will Santorum, although if Santorum had the kind of money backing him that Romney does one wonders if the situation might not have been reversed. Either way, I doubt any of these tools will stand much of a chance against Obama. B. HUSSEIN Obongo of the Socialist Nazi-state of Kenya may raise a few hackles, but I think it's safe to say he has broader appeal than the soulless Mormon robot who answers questions about whether he likes NASCAR by commenting that some of his friends own teams. It'll be an incumbent President who killed the shit out of Osama, versus a totally detached, super-rich weirdo that nobody except fellow cultists actually claim to like. I think we learned a lot from this.
Also You two at the top need to research Ron Paul more. I liked the guy too for a while, but he went full libertarian. You never go full libertarian. He takes some of his stances to the extreme way too much. Maybe because he's a Republican and is pandering voters, but it gets a bit too much. So yeah Newt has to drop out now. Ron Paul can do whatever. He's got his own thing which I think is more about raising public awareness about topics.

At least that's one delusional liar less.
If one of these Republicans is elected president, I'd say it's time to bring this back after a small update: http://urbanlegends.about.com/librar...ion_cleese.htm |

What makes you guys vote for Ron Paul? Of the list he was one of the first I scrapped as being too silly.
And I mean literally too silly. The suggestions he made regarding the FBI for instance... Uhm, really? He wants a return to having issues combatting interstate crime? |

Okay, I decided to check what interesting things could make you vote Ron Paul. What baout budget plans like these? Government budget spendings for: International assistance program: 0 Department of energy: 0 Department of housing and urban development: 0 Department of commerce: 0 Department of interior: 0 Department of education: 0 Department of Defense: 501.000.000.000 (increasing each year) Department of Veterans affairs: 59.500.000.000 (increasing each year) Department of Homeland Security: 32.152.000.000 (fixed) Hmm. And extreme cuts on everything else. Way to ruin one's economy and future investments. Education? Who needs education!? That only creates Obama-type smart arses, right?! Just lol, imagine the income loss of all those people nation wide who suddenly aren't paid by the government to do public jobs. And the income loss of all the people who rely on the spendings of those people in public jobs. Not to mention with no department of commerce, you're ruining chances of companies to create new contacts, disrupt chances of entry into foreign markets etc. Energy management? Making sure everyone has access to energy? ... What the hell is there to like about Ron Paul's plans? Last edited by Figment; 2012-04-11 at 10:38 AM. |

Something to consider is that Jimmy Carter endorsed Mitt Romney not because he likes Romney, but because he felt Obama has a better chance of a win against Romney and because he supports Obama.
If he's right about that, then this is going absolutely in Obama's favor. |

One thing you won't see in a democratic primary is what has been happening now. It has all been about who is more conservative than the other. That is about one of the dumbest arguments ever. This primary has not really been about who has better policies, but who the tea party will like more. Because when it comes to the general election, all that matters is the tea party and the extreme right, right?
This primary has forced Romney, who had a better chance, go more towards the far right just to get the crazy vote. That will hurt him in the long run. I believe one can flip flop on certain issues given a decent explanation. But Romney, has flip flopped on issues just to try to appeal to other voters. He will win the primary but will have a tough time in the general election. What will hurt him more is if it goes to the convention, that will only be taking more time away from campaigning in the general election. On a side note, I was curious to see what a porn prohibition would have been like.
