I got to play in the first session with my niece, who quickly demonstrated her innate understanding of mmo mechanics and seemed to know how to do everything immediately upon sitting down while I had a QA guy help me navigate the menu's. Unfortunately, we missed the memo that told us to go back outside and get in line after our turn ended, instead we watched the next group play and ate pizza. When we did go outside it became apparent that it would be a good while before our next turn. We hung out for the bonus swag raffle, which we failed to win, and decided 40 degree humidity was imba and called it a day.

It was good fun though.

I love how they use Dell computers and make ipad apps before Android ones.

Either that or someone over at Sony Computer Entertainment isn't coughing up enough budget for SOE to afford to buy their own brand of devices. /boggle

They said on release there will be both Android and iPad compatible apps. I don't think either are done yet.

The people there are only allowed to say things about emotional impressions but canot say anything about gameplay itself until Tuesday. It was a blast!

I think they blew their pizza budget for the next 10 years. And they were tossing out the energy drinks at the beginning. I'm still twitching!

Thanks for the link. Best thing from that:

Flying is fairly difficult. It has a LOT of potential to allow for some crazy maneuvering. Good pilots and bad pilots will most definitely make a big difference. I flew galaxys in ps1 and the first attempt here i flew it completely sideways through a canyon, clipped my left wing, and spiraled into the ground.

Everything I read about flight in this game gets me hyped, especially that it's actually going to take skill to fly.
