Hey guys,
I've downloaded PS2 using Steam. When I start it, the launcher launches just fine but I can't log in, because it says my account doesn't exist. I've created an account using that ProSiebenSat1 thingy, because i'm from EU, but it seems the launcher my Steam has is set up to attempt to log in on SOE servers ... Is there anything to do to get your Steam PS2 to work for new EU players ? Because I've tried downloading the launcher from the official website ... It crashes like 99 times out of 100 and the rare times it doesnt, it just seems stuck on "Installing" with no other details and an empty progress bar. |

Just great...
Why You didn't notice that Steam version didn't work in EU? Why You didnt mention it on Steam product page? Hundreds players now need to download about 8GiB data, only because they didnt know that Steam version is just for "chosen one"! Or maybe it would be repaired, and We can play on already downloaded client? |

I've spent hours this evening trying to jump through hoops on this shambolic merry-go-round so let me save you all some time until they fix it and I can link my new crap sat 1 account to my existing (and long standing) SOE account:
1) Install Spotflux. 2) Create a dud SOE account using US as your location (click stop at each screen to prevent being redirected to a page telling you to allow cookies duh!). 3) Login to Planetside launcher via Steam. Hope this helps. |

Okay guys, got the solution finally. I hope the developers are going to fix the login problem with steam fast, but here's how to play it if you have registered on the .eu site:
- Just go to www.planetside2.eu - In the left/middle box is a button called ''play now'' or ''download game'' - Under that button in small text is a link called: Planet side 2 PSG - Download that if you already downloaded the game (via steam or whatever) you only have to install this simple client, when you run it, you can see the logo of ProSiebenSat.1 in the left corner. Here you can login, and play! |

This fix allows you to play with your Steam client :
http://steamcommunity.com/app/218230...6056588284919/ Well, that's in theory. I did it and I can now log in on my Steam client just fine, but the launcher keeps crashing now, just like the other one |

Hurricanes fix worked for me.
Man, how embarrassing. I mean, it's not like it needed a code fix to get Afghanistani players working on iPad. This is Europe and Steam. EDIT: Launcher crashed immediately after I got past 'Accept'. Last edited by LockRobster; 2012-11-21 at 04:52 AM. |
