Smed Tweets update on ProSieben Deal

News from Twitter?......

John Smedley ‏ @j_smedley Close
We've come up with a plan to allow ALL players to play on any servers they want. More details to follow.

The EQ community was likely a huge driving force here as well.

this is really good to see and to be honest very unexpected.

Potentially happy grins on a Monday now thats magic

(I think the EQ community was the real driving force here and I saw some very big EVE outfits questioning if they would take up the game not just Test)

Seems pretty cut and dry, ANY player on ANY server?

It looks like we will still have the songs of the British in our ears for the time being.

Can't wait to hear more, glad SOE pulled it out, if they did.

One of the stronger responses certainly came from EQ2 with DCUO following it. PS2 was of course considered as well.

"Alright, radarx, tell the EQ2 and DCUO guys we fixed their problems..."

RadarX - "but.. what about the PS2 guys?"

"Ah, right... those guy... hmm tell them something as well"

And btw, thanks for keeping in touch with the community RadarX!

Judge by action and their experence. the upper levels of SOE don't care about the PS community (proof is that the PS community didn't get squat when SOE got hacked, and the long period where SOE put up interns in charge). the only reason why this is now fixed because the EQ community was upset as well.

I'm glad that TR and Higby are here but let's face it, they are beholden to people don't give a crap about this community one bit.

However it gets done, it got done and hopefully everyone can be happy now and we can focus on more important things... Like playing the game!

I'm sure it was EQ2 -> DCUO -> EQ1 -> Hello Kitty Island Adventure -> PS2.

No offense to you RadarX, I realize you're a mouthpiece for SOE, but this is a prime example of why PS2 is going to end up in the shitter just like PS1 did. SOE could give 2 squats about PS on the whole besides what it can bring to the bank receipts.

If it wasnt for EQ/DCUO this would of never been even discussed after the fact. SOE hasnt even seen the dress we have on and they want to take us out to the barn to suck hind tit.

well... EQ2 and DCUO are the 'active' games right now... (more population = more people to bitch on the forums).

PS1 is pretty much dead and Eq1 was(iirc) not included in the deal.
PS2 is not out yet and doesn't even have an SOE forum yet or a beta.

so it is only natural for EQ2 and DCUO to have a bigger voice, right now..

just need to stay as vocal in PS2 as you guys are now and it should be right up there with EQ2.
