I kinda hope the dev's don't plan to do any sort of event's like today, it was not even remotely fun, if they do, count me out, I don't care if the NC has no TR or VS tech, or if 20 devs spam meteors till the server crashes, but that event just ruined any sort of enjoying PS1. I want tomorrow to be classic PS1, which is fun.. not some stupid events.

And I am not talking about dev events. I am talking the devs in game as part of the team. Playing for THEIR sides... Higby ext on NC, TB ext on TR, and T-Ray ext on VS. The devs playing the game, wish us... all of them. Be it all of the ps1 devs and or the ps2 devs. I want to see them *shrug* its 2:17am and the truth can come out =P I'm drunk. *secretly I hope Strathen of the NC gets put on a black ops squad at some point before PS2 beta* |

We ran the home defense event yesterday for NC and TR. It's a pretty hard to win event for the defending teams, you're at 150 max population vs 250, and have to hold your two home continents off against an enemy empire on each. Much lamenting and sadness as to the unfairness and personal persecution occurred. The final fight at Eisa was epic, and I contend that the NC would have held it for 15 more minutes and won on Esamir if it hadn't gotten term bugged. the VS did crush Amerish though, it just got rolled, was painful to watch... even the mighty meteors could not hold back the purple tide.

I feel kind of bad now knowing that the defending party can only have 150 to the attackers 250. Eisa is one of those few bases that can hold out against massive numbers thanks to the terrain. As for Amerish, it probably didn't help the NC that Amerish is our home cont (shut up it is) and we probably know the terrain better than they do. Ended up leading my squad to Mekala with the intent to drain and hack prior to the switch to neutral. Ended up providing the AMSs for the base and taking it with help when the base went green. Mekala is one of those wonderful to defend bases as long as the enemy doesn't take the high ground to the south. It also links to two sub-capital biolabs. Ended up joining the fight at Verica once the shield went down and had wonderful times playing peekaboo with the friendlies coming in and out of the ether. After that took my platoon to Supai and started up an awesome cave fight. Big thanks to the TR for showing up to be murdered, the NC weren't as cooperative. Side bonus was that Solsar then got cave lock benefits. Logged out after that, overall was a great time and I got to see 3 old friends which was awesome.

this is the one bug that screwed more ppl over than any other and yet it still exists, that's a sad commentary on the support that SOE gave PS1. |
