Interesting screen from Chinaside2

Hearts of Iron 3 camp battle tank performance Competition

April 17, 2012

Main battle tanks, they are the strength of any war can not be ignored, the main theme of the symphony of war well-deserved. Works of modern FPS games, many games will the main battle tank onto the stage, while in the "planet marginal", main battle tanks will appear as a ground vehicle's core unit, can be said that the three forces of main battle tanks is the large-scale battlefield, the protagonist of the game.

From the appearance point of view, the new federal main battle tanks, the Vanguard (R) has the appearance of the closest to the modern tanks, the appearance of the earth, main battle tank of the Republic of the Prowler (middle) in the three most compact, Wanu sovereign state continues its sci-fi style of the master the the tank Magrider (left) is unique floating tanks.

Main battle tanks of each camp is unique, from the exterior to play no similar players according to their camp performance of main battle tanks to develop the battlefield in tactical planning, to the greatest degree of play equipment advantage.

Can be seen from the figure, the planet marginal 2 "main battle tank performance of the different camps the more obvious differences. Tanks and equipment of the Earth's Republic of double-barreled smoothbore gun, has the advantage of the high rate of fire; the new federal tank equipped with a 150mm large caliber artillery, single injury for the first of the three camps; Wa Nu sovereign state maglev tank rely on anti-gravity technology to maintain mobility on absolute advantage.

In the next game within the broad field of battle, we will frequently see the shadow of the steel beast, they are comrades hearts of the holy angels, demons of fear of the enemy in the eyes. But no matter how, I believe that any man had dreams of becoming a top armor, to manage these steel mighty planet marginal "in the grand battlefield, the dream will become a reality.
So google translator is pretty funny, but what intrigues me is the screen showing the strengths of each empire's tanks. Any one read Chinese?

Well the upper bars would seem to make sense if it was "damage" and "rate of fire" respectively.

However for the lower too I really dont know. The lower left could be armor.

The lower right could be like.. maneuverability, but how the heck would one measure it as a bar when one tank can strafe while others cant. It cant really be speed, cos supposedly TR should have the fastest tank? If we think what VS has the best in tanks, it's maneuverability. Optionally cannon range?

lol the NC are the FEDS.

Heck I wanted to call them the Nationals for National Conglomerate as a new NC name because well new can't stay new (unless you are New York or Jersy)

My best guess

Top left: Damage
Top right: Firing Speed

Bottom bars are probably for tank's speed and maneuvering

Except we know that TR is the "speed" empire when it comes to vehicles. So it's probably armor, as Coreldan pointed out.

Whatever the Chinese word for "Conglomerate" probably translated to "Federation" because they have similar meanings -- American parlance has simply "forgotten" what Federation means, since our Federal system has become less and less federal as the States cede power to the Fed and we become more like a nation with provinces or something. But the point is, in English, both Conglomerate and Federation speak to a system by which largely independent entities (corporations and states) band together in a loose, but formal, affiliation.

So when you translate Conglomerate to Chinese, and then back, you ended up with a near-synonym. Not surprising.

After play around with Google translate for a few minutes, the lower left one appears to be Armor, which makes sense.

so we got ..

Top left -- Damage
Top right -- RoF
Bottom left -- Armour
Bottom right -- Maneuverability

If this is right it looks like the tanks are similiar in strengths to the original PS. We need beta ASAP !

Strange that they wouldn't list speed, since that it supposedly the TR's main advantage.

Re: Interesting screen from Chinaside2

I think bottom-right is accuracy. Might be turning speed.

Speed/Maneuverability might not be on the chart. Someone who speaks Chinese could probably clear that up pretty fast.

Numbers for the other three being damage, ROF, and armor make sense. Armor for the mag is misleading since it always has its strongest armor facing front it will take less effective damage and harder to flank its sides and rear armor.
