I doubt it will be an issue. There are multiple entrances to every building. And I don't think that 2000 people will be fighting for the same spawn room.

Yeh Higby said that about the numbers. I think they under estimate the magnetic attraction of certain groups of players to a single base.
However even if there are only 200 people defending a base have single width doors will cause problems. To further my point about the amount of players in an area what happens when you are pushed back to your final base then you have 666(if pcgamer have it right) people in one base spawn. |

I actually just noticed the door width yesterday, I'm just slightly concerned. The doors definitively need to be able to allow 2 solders to stand shoulder to shoulder inside.
Don't underestimate the power that doors have. They are the smallest form of choke points in the game. "There won't be 2,000 people trying to use one door" Once the 2nd to last base an empire owns on a continent loses it's power, yes, the whole pop can spawn in one spawn room.

Door width is definitely a problem they should look into.
The claustrophobic design of the bases in PS1 is what made base fights so miserable. You had no room to maneuver. I was really happy to see how gigantic and wide open the bases are this time around, but I noticed the doorways leading into the spawnroom were very, very small and chokepoint-esque. Luckily there seems to be a lot more entrances, a potential solution to the problem. |

Personally I hate friendly avatar collision in general. It's always been an annoyance to me in every CoD, BF, and virtually every FPS I've played. I hate trying to aim and it looks someone shoved a washing machine up my ass because my screen keeps twitching from all the people running into me...
But, people being able to hide inside each other and larger avatars like MAXs would just anger too many people to let me dreams come true. |
