I was hoping something more unique, but it seems the devs are being incredibly lazy with this game in many different areas.

The swaying of the gun while running is also just too CoD/BF for me, I hope they at least scrap that for something better.

Well, at least give some ideas instead of complaining just cos the gunplay resembles the worlds most selling shooter games

I hate it when my gun moves if my body does something. Would you prefer the gun to just be stationary in one position no matter what your character did?

I know it happens in BF/CoD as well but, things your carrying will move if you do. This hardly seems like something to complain about.

I think everyone is aware at this point that you hate everything about PS2.

I don't care. I like the gunplay in BF3 and PS1. Win win for me.

People are just being really picky right now. Gun Sway?Every single FPS out on the markets has gun sway like that its just the time period we are in right now.People need to understand this is gonna be a brand new,the time from PS1 -> PS2 everything from feel to looks to sounds gonna be different the faster everyone accepts that easier the transition.SOE and the devs wanna make a hit game so to draw in some of them cod and bf players we are gonna see some things similar.Matt even brought up BF3 several times during the GDC gameplay footage.

The game is gonna be great, but its not gonna play like planetside 1 you can tell just by the videos.

I do agree with the point that PS2 should have a unique feel to it.
Not sure if a touch of realism ruins it.

I feel like the *most* unique part is and will always be the scale of the game. I'm not saying make it an exact replica of BF/CoD just bigger (which it's clearly not from GDC footage) but not EVERYTHING has to be unique either.

A gun moving around due to the soldier running is fine. Although if you truly do want uniqueness in this aspect, I suggest telling Higby.

I wouldn't be opposed to our characters balancing the gun on our heads as we ran or something along those lines. Maybe even installing a crotch holster, gotta live on the dangerous side sometime. Even if the gun fires while it's there we'll respawn with everything intact down there again anyway.

To say theyre LAZY is abit harsh. Were talking getting mainstream accessibility for what was essentially a cult game compared to games like COD. And trying to get hundreds of thousands of players interesting in a game that lets face it, most people have only heard of and not played.

There are steps you have to go to make things easier, camera sway is one of many mainstays that has probably been play tested to its perfection. Remember all the fuss that happened because people got travel sick while sitting playing Mirror's Edge because they "changed things for the better".

I promise you, when your locking down an area on your own, and feeling actually lethal. Compared to Planetside 1's, get into a fight then spend 15 seconds healing. You will forget all about PS1 and its out dated game play, and start enjoying feeling truely deadly.

Rather than a bullet sponge among bullet sponges.
