Bio-lab domes

Did I miss it earlier ? I did not see a thread about this picture:

The art team is really doing an awesome work... I lack of adjectives to describe it.

Yeah, I saw that on T-Rays pics also but I didn't remember him tweeting it. Looks simply stunning.

Wow. Is this the evolution of the design, or does it mean that every Bio lab dome will look slightly different? The second would be sooooo awesomesauce...

I don't know but if everything is hand-made to perfection like that, PS2 will be a work of art...

If I recall correctly, I'm pretty sure Higby said something like there are 3 base types, but each individual base has uniqueness to it. The lay out of the surrounding buildings I assume will be different for all the facilities.

If those are different stages of how it looks it could solve two prolbems. One different looks. Two, information attacker can use to understand what is going on from visuals. And technically 3 information defenders know attackers have to respond to attackers.. Of course then you get 4 which is information attackers know defenders have about attackers.... Or you could throw that in the 3 way version.. 8p

But that could build a small element of actual realistically simulated strategy to the game. AKA if look said something about function(as long as the function is relativity to something strategically important to combat on some level.) As long as it's not done too simply or badly.(would probably require the base to do alot more.)

It would be nice to have bases and an environment whose looks interacted with the strategy.(that would require the base to probly do alot more though)

I'm assuming those are a shot sequence of the animation though(though I could be wrong). It goes blinky then it goes expandy.. Then it goes blinky. I think I undrestand it. The top two sets of frames are the closed animation sequence. The top is the open animation sequence for the dome. 6ish stages closed. If it's open it just goes dark clear dark.

Yeah the latter would be sooooo Osome-ness!!

(and the ideas Ait'al suggested also sound gorgeous. So, basically all the domes have same design on them, but also have the ability to change their appearances if need be, right? )

Those are stunning. Top middle, middle left, and bottom corners moreso than the other 5, though. The opaque look (dark or light) doesn't sell the wow factor as much for me.

I'd pick the 2nd (top middle.)
If that's the one from the Alpha footage, that's the one I want personally. I nice color, can see into it, and it's made all my friends I've shown the footage to go "WOW." So yeah.

So I guess this implies that the bio-labs don't have a shield on top anymore? I know they said they'd taken some out.
