What we know about Beta.

Suggest that we'll be seeing Closed Beta in a few weeks, and in another few weeks Open Beta will start. I got all that from this video' its an interview with Matt about their apps and the game in general. ( Yes, he still has hair and it will be supported ( the app ) by android as well. )

I must admit I am a little concerned over the favor towards original planet side players.

I have nothing against them, of course, but the beta needs new blood as well, and I'm worried regarding the number of original players, and how much they will impede the efforts of new players trying to get into the beta.

Just my viewpoint on the matter.

Did they mention anything of the beta keys being given out?

I'm still curious if you need an active account on PS1 to receive a key, or just be a veteran.

Also heard of a cut-off date rumor for the whole "veteran" status on PS1.

Can anyone confirm that wrong?

Closed beta will start within a few weeks, and a couple of weeks later open beta will start.

Newblood means people who only played games like BF3 and will thus demand every aspect of the game to become as similiar to BF3 as possible. No thank you!

There will be plenty of new blood as well.

SOE wants to make sure they keep PlanetSide Alive while adding new flare for new players. They need both audiences to make beta a success.

So, I was wondering if it is per user or per key code? What I mean is if I was a PS1 player, have a PC Gamer Key, and went to E3 do i have 3 chances now or do I really only have the one chance since all 3 keys are in one account.

Personally I think it is the latter, but just wanted to know if there had been any clarification.

P.S. been lurking here since PS1 launch, and this is my first post! I do not know how I have resisted the temptation for so long to join up.
