Having good sound really brings the game to the next level.

With the original, I always though things were often a little bit too..."pew pew" which tended to make guns sound a bit too toy-like.

I'm loving the jet-noises thus far. Keep up the good work.

Also loving the audio work. The Liberator's third-person has such a sweet, futuristic engine note.

I'm hoping you guys have a seriously "pant-browning", speaker-breaking effect for the orbital strike!

please let the old voice macros return! or at least have most of the phrases again.

"you call yourself a soldier?" was as iconic as "your best is my worst!" and both are needed for retro feeling

also i hope we got some new iconic phrases that will stay connected to planetside for the rest of our lives!

Some of my favorite memories of Planetside are 10+ guys all spamming "Incoming MAX units!!" during a MAX crash into the backdoor of an enemy base

My favorite was either spamming "Defend the Generator!" once you have taken down an enemy gen and they are outside, or, in a tech plant, putting a boomer by the door leading to the spawns and spam "Attack their Generator!"
It's a guaranteed kill most of the time.

I'm excited about the idea of retro voice packs.

I still have one single glorious memory from planetside.

Some kid was trying to grief our outfit, so we all surrounded him and spammed 'HEEEELLLLPPP'.

So, if 'HEEEELLLP' *handwave* isn't in the game I will be sorely disappointed and have to join the rage crew here.
