I'm fine with it in, but would like to see some kind of restriction on it to prevent people from being annoying with infinite accounts. Maybe have it be something that can be bought through the cash shop, earned after however many hours of play time or only be available to "subscribers" (assuming they have some kind of monthly membership plan).

Won't stop people logging alts to abuse people but it will mean you can't just create a new char if someone ignores you.

As an additional thing, i'd like ignore to be account wide, all my chars all their chars, not that i tend to use it but if i did that's how i'd like it.
I'd like to agree with the BR limit or any of the other limits suggested, but I feel that it unfairly punishes new players.

To expand on your latter point though, I'd like ignores to be account wide for those ignored too. If I ignore someone on one character why would I wish to hear them on another?

The Hate Tell was one of the best features of Planetside. That said I hope they restrict cross-faction communication. I believe it detracts from faction loyalty. I've played games with and without (easy) cross-faction communication and I definitely enjoyed the games without it better.

With free accounts you can't stop it but that doesn't mean they need to make it easy. People can always make accounts to come tell you how much you suck after you own them, but that's a few more steps than just typing a sentence to them whenever you want.

I'd like to see the game fostering cross-faction hate by restricting communication rather than making communication easy so we can get all buddy-buddy.

Personally, the time when it was just me in agile+sweeper versus a rexo+pshield+JH in a tower dueling, killed him 4 times in a row then left, between each kill increasingly hilarious rage tells, was one of my favorite times in PSide. The ego boost is always welcome.
