i doubt it would be much fun for the console players, with their simple pads, to play against pc players with mouse/keyboard. they would get smoked in no time, and would just leave

microsoft tried cross-play at the beginning of last gen, with Shadowrun if i remember well, and they had to abandon the idea because console players were always losing. a pad is great for sports titles and such, but for a fps, a mouse is just miles better
