Re: Steam not working for new EU players ?

That only works for people who actually have a Station name, Smiej. I didn't play in the beta so ProSieben is my only way in.

All the steps you need to follow are in my post on the first page, I'm not even sure you need Spotflux but what the hell your location is none of their business anyway and it's useful to turn on whenever someone tries to manipulate your connectivity based on your location.

I've un-installed the Steam version and downloaded directly.

The download was actually must faster (?) and my "new" version works much better.

I had played beta so had a Station Account.

If there are still account problems, is it not possible to just create a Station Account here: http://www.soe.com/ ("Sign Up" top right)

..then just download the game directly?

Re: Steam not working for new EU players ?

Exactly, sign up for a SOE account setting your location to USA and you can just login to the Steam client one which works fine for me not sure why it didn't for you.

When I try with my UK SOE account it tells me to sign up for the Pro Sat whatever-ma-thing... which I did eventually once their site was available however I was met with a labyrinth of confusion followed finally by a "solution" instructing me to redownload the whole client. At that point I decided FU and bypassed the whole shenanigans.

I just don't want to download the whole thing again, nor maintain two seperate accounts for a game where one is sufficient, plus it's handy to have it on Steam.

I can play on EU servers with the US SOE account but of course I would prefer to not use my dud SOE account so I just need to raise a ticket now with Sony to link the damn accounts so I can put my miserable experience of ever hearing about Pro Shat Sleeping behind me!

Re: Steam not working for new EU players ?

Yo, i got prosieben to work. I'll put it here step by step! Dunno how it worked, but it did.

Step 1: Download from steam.
Step 2: PlanetSide2.exe and put it in Steamapps -> Common -> Planetside 2 Folder
Step 3: Replace everything you download. This way you practically replace the launcher with the Prosieben one. Practically you are cracking the launcher by replacing the EU one with the original steam (American) one.
Step 4: Activate the launcher from the steam folder with your steam closed.

IF NOT WORKING STILL:
Step 5: Restart steam again (Or even yer computer).

Hope this works for some of ya'll!

Used my Planeside EU account

Post here if this works. The game might close the launcher right away at first, it did that for me. Dunno why but after i restarted my comp, it worked.
