It also lets them know if the game is optimized enough for use with rigs that aren't in the office. If it doesn't melt GPUs and random computers can run it decently, that means it can be sent to the general populace for external "beta" testing. Edit: This is as I know it to be. Thats the just of it. They also said this phase tests how efficiently external users are able to download and install the client, along with testing server load to see if they can in fact support the amount of players they think to get an idea on the limitations.
Hopefully after the tech test we will get system requirements, an idea of how many players on a map, and a stream lined launch pad for that BETA TESTIN!!!!! |
