It makes a huge difference because Higby is part of the dev team. For one he can control fairly good what gets shown on the stream and also if other people would stream breaking NDA they could potentially be exploiting bugs or whatever that might put the game in a state that it is not supposed to be shown in.

But I've read so many I know what they all mean just by the header now. I know I'll never violate their terms because if you have to ask, you can't show it. Simplez.

It is annoying though how the industry has jaded people's minds of what beta's are, so people don't really understand that this is actually a beta, and not just a last minute game test & hype preview.

Other games DO have beta's, but you usually need to be in a small select group and everything's hush hush.

This is different because they NEED thousands of players to properly beta test.

NONE of this was planned. They weren't supposed to blast the keys... but did. And it was NVidia, not SOE... They weren't ready for more yet.

Not to sound malicious, but in my opinion, NDA's (and I've been through quite a few by now) really hold no weight. Never heard of any serious repercussions from leaked info etc and no one will ever get prosecuted etc. It would simply be bad PR and chances are would likely collapse in a court of law for not being air-tight enough in the first instance. Not promoting anyone leak info of course, just saying anyone with a cell of grey matter will know this and SOE, I can only assume, do factor in leaks as they will always be a chronic problem.
