Well my son broke my old CD-ROM so I got to upgrade to a DVD-R. Much to my shock I cannot watch DVD's on it till I buy software to play them--- LAME AS HELL by the way.
Anyway does anyone know of a free or cheap DVD decoder for win xp? Doesnt have to be anything fancy and do not need video editing, ripping, or copying-- just a player. Thanks! |

Dvd-rom's generally come with software decoders. If you bought oem though and didn't get any bundle it does suck trying to find it on your own. PowerDVD is generally what gets bundled and I think its a cheap decoder but works rather well. WinDVD is the other popular one, you can buy it on their website.
