I saw a little snippet of a SeniorJunior video, looked really cool. I might check it out.

Also, if anyone checks out The Early November, tell me what you think

I don't like many new bands at all...most rock is moaning angsty lyrics into the mike followed by a shout such as "SUICIDE!", then the guy on the guitar hitting a few power chords.

What happened to talent?

At least it's not the other two dominant music genres:

Pop: Music for the masses. Same shit, over and over, with random computerized pops and odd noises.

(C)rap: Needs no introduction

And remember kids, please don't pirate P. Diddy's songs, Lord knows he doesn't have enough money as it is.

The gun katas. Through analysis of thousands of recorded gunfights, the Cleric has determined that the geometric distribution of antagonists in any gun battle is a statistically predictable element. The gun kata treats the gun as a total weapon, each fluid position representing a maximum kill zone, inflicting maximum damage on the maximum number of opponents while keeping the defender clear of the statistically traditional trajectories of return fire. By the rote mastery of this art, your firing efficiency will rise by no less than 120%. The difference of a 63% increase to lethal proficiency makes the master of the gun katas an adversary not to be taken lightly.

Is this like an indy rock thread? Thats all i listen to.

Bands: Braid, Get Up Kids, The Lawrence arms, Dillinger 4, Harvey Danger, The impossibles, J.G.C., Jawbreaker, The Strokes(not really indy but they're good), Alkaline Trio, At The Drive-In, Coldplay(not really indy either), Diana Krall (Jazz), Jets to Brazil, Incubus, Phantom Planet, Pogues, Seatbelts (Cowboy Bebop band), Smash Mouth (their old stuff), THE CLASH, The Fall, and many more but it would be impossible for me to put them all up.

PS. I'm trying to get some people around where i live to make a band, but not many peopel want it as much as i do. If i do get one goign i'll post some of our stuff here though.

Not unknown in their genre, but most people don't listen to it

Symphony X
Rhapsody
Opeth
Nightwish
Blind Guardian
Iced Earth

Ranges from Power Metal, to Operatic Metal. If you're in to classical music, heavy metal, or even black and death metal you should listen to a couple songs from each. Always be willing to broaden your horizons you never know what you might like.
