"Phatnom" next generation broadband game console built for gamers by gamers. It will support PC games, interactive content, ported console games and provide the consumer advantages over the traditional personal gaming computer or console. Features: -A state of the art design and architechture -A number of preloaded games that appeal to a wide variety of users and their specific gaming needs. -Ability to download more games than any other console -Leading edge peripherals -Seamless upgrade and patch management Sounds cool enough, but I've yet to find anything about what it exactly does. Rofl. Anyway, post what you think. ghost |

i couldnt get the downloadable or streaming demos towork.
i dont think it wil pick up. everyone has a PC now, why get a console to play PC games? its cheaper to just upgrade. and beside,s they cant have the financial backing to compete with nintendo, sony and microsoft. |

for example, the wind waker, although may not contain the mature themes and such of Vice City, but that does NOT make it less of a game, the Wind Waker is still a great game, and Ocarina of Time lists as one of my favorite games of all time in fact, some of my very favorite games are Rare titles, Jet Force Gemini, Banjo Kazooie, those were very good and fun games |

dude, you die now.... Nintendo puts out some of the most creative and innovative not to mention FUN games to date... The fact that they are still pumping out amazingly fun games incredible....
like doobz said just because their games arn't chock full of blood doesnt make it any less of a game (infact I think even more so) I mean come on the sty;e, feel, and themes of nintendo games are to me nothing but solid, wacky FUN!!! |

Hey, I grew up with the Nintendo systems but I think a lot of gamers grow out of their products once they hit a certain age. Nobody said a game had to have blood and guts to be fun. I just don't enjoy cartooney games like Mario World or any of the games sequels/spinoffs. I never really was into the Zelda games after the original Nintendo system, so I wouldn't be able to comment on those. I unfortunately spent money on N64 and found that only a handful of games appealed to me. For awhile there most all of their games could have been confused with something that belonged on Nickelodeon. Take a look at some of their newer titles. Now that the prices of game consoles have increased Nintendo realized that they needed a wider target audience, which is a good thing.
Basically, it all comes down to preference. If you can stomach the storyline to the older Nintendo games, more power to you. Personally, I'd rather spend my money on something a little more entertaining. ghost |
