A good empire?

Hello there, I have been wanting to join the Planetside community for some time now and finaly once my new computer comes I can. In my wait I have read everything I can about the three empires and everything else I could find.
I have a pretty straight foward question, and I'm positive it will come up with many different answers.

I am stuck in a decision on wich empire to inlist with, I was leaning towards the NC but I really don't know. I was just wondering what you all think is a good empire for beginners to enlist in and learn from. Or one that is easy going and accepts "nubs".

Sorry to break it to you but theres no real noob empire. Just chose the one whos fighting style you liek best and log on. =P

Pretty much, yeah. Each empire has their strengths and weaknesses, but the noob tolerance is on a person to person basis. Most people you meet won't have a problem showing you the ropes so long as you catch on quickly.
In truth, each empire is good, just pick one that has a playstyle and gear you like. Personally, I play Vanu, but I have a tendancy to swipe NC gear at every opportunity.

Well thanks, I think I'll try my luck with the NC for now. You can have multiple players on different empires right?

What you said about leaning towards the NC is true. but you must learn not to give into the darkside!!! i have had those lonely nights of thinking of complety deleting my characters and making them NC, it seems alot of the pop has gone ahead and done this.

any ways do what you think is right and your combat style. but the reason i never went NC is becuse i never liked being part of the mass population

All your characters on one server must be the same empire. You can make characters from other empires on other servers.
At least it was like that last I checked.

Ok, that kind of sucks that you can only have one empire per server but what ever.

I always thought that NC was the least populated community, heh guess not. I was used to hearing people saying everyone left NC and went to vanu because of some glitch or weapon. If the NC is very populated then maybe I will change my decision.

The empire populations are quite even nowadays.

Just chose the one that you think has the best wepons and/or vechicals.

A good question to ask yourself would be: Which of the following do i like as far as weapons?

Fast weapons that do low damage but fire very quickly
Slow weapons that pack a punch
Maneuvaribility/versatility (built in AP mode)

And for maxes, tanks and buggies its the same mostly.

If you like the heavy hitters but slow RoF go with the NC
If you like fast weapons (machine gun type) go TR
If you like being able to move newehre u want and having energy weapons (or if u like purple) go VS.

I took TR becuz i was a n00b in beta and sucked with both the other empires, and tried TR right as i started to become skilled. Plus i thought the cycler was the uber 1337 weapon.

Thanks, lilbird, for the input. It was hard to compair all the weapons by just looking at everything but you brought it down to size for me.

if u do join TR, and join the emerald server (which i reccomend becuz it is the most populated) then if you want i could maybe hook u up with an outfit. let me know if you do
