The Jackhammer can kill Reinforced Armor with a single shot of the secondary fire mode when at extremely close range (i.e. inside a facility). Before you guys think this is a nerf thread and jump on the flame wagon...see THIS, my alternate character with which I've done my research. All you have to do is put it in third person mode to see around corners and wait for the enemy to get close enough to touch. By the time they know what hit them, they've either got too little stamina to even think about running away or are already dead. We all know the Jackhammer is the best Heavy Assault weapon, so stop denying it!
You don't have to take my word for it though, see for yourself. ghost |

Your use of facts will only get you flamed.

/sigh. You know, you could do the same thing with a MCG, but with better range than the JH, and beter overall DPS. When you're fireing into a group indoors, chances are that nearly all of the bullets are going to hit something.
BTW, not all places in a base are very close range. A couple meters away from an agile and the secondary wont kill him in one burst(I've seen this on both ends)

The Jackhammer is an OVERALL "EASIER" weapon to utilize to it's full potential. BUT! Once you've gotten farmiliar with the MCG and Lasher and the tactics that come along with them, they are all equally deadly. Hence, "n00bhammer" because it's easier to get the hang of.
*Edit* BTW, please feel free to shoot me for bumping this nerf-flame thread.

Hmmm, if u miss ur 3 burst then ur a dead fellow, theres some time between them. I find that primary fire is weaker than it used to be. Now its 4-5 shots to kill a reinf. Before it was 3, then of course it was way overpowered. I love the new lasher, hope they dont nerf it.

ok the fact is that if you are ever outdoors with a JH you will be owned so teribly, but with a MCG or a lasher a little range is now big deal but at 20 m it take basicly a whole clip to kill a agil armor, and you have to realize not all of the shot always hits it only when you get realy close can you kill stufff that fast, give a a MCG for allaround ownage any day

Its all situational. My main problem with the JH is that every NC with HA has to get close to their target to be on equal footing. This amounts to about 15-20 NC in a large battle all trying to rush down a hallway, bumping into each other.
You have a lot of dead NC if there's someone at the end of that hallway in a MAX, or a couple people with Lashers or MCG's. HOWEVER: In short corridor situations, like tower stairwells, etc. The JH is superior. It really depends on which part of the base you're at. I would have to say my favorite HA weapon is still the Lasher(although I haven't tried the new MCG yet). You can keep a little range, and you don't have to worry about the lash effect hitting teammates. |

i've done that but they have to be idiots and have realy bad aim, or jsut no know your comming. the only reason i carry it instead of the Sweeper is becuase it takes down maxes quite well.
I took out 5 in one go once with with my pheonix/jh rig
