Jumping MAX (not VS)

For some reason I can not make my MAX anchor in.

I had changed it around at some point and recently I went to default keymap. I can't make my TR max anchor or my VS MAX jump.

Whats the default key? I have tried about everything I can find to get it working again.

P.S. I had a Hamma sighting last night. Was going to take a picture of him but for some reason his image didn't come out. Is he human?

I think u have to press "B" but im not possitive on that since i havent been a MAX since that was added

MAX special abilities are now 'K' with space bar being jump. I would keymap it to something else, I did B myself.

I'm not sure why they thought K was a good default key on that. It works for infil because you only hit it right when you get the suit, but the MAX special abilities are used on the fly and the default is a key nowhere near your keyboard hand.
The only problem I've encountered with using B is that in the heat of the moment I sometimes don't get my finger far enough and end up tapping V a few times. Instead of jump jetting over the approaching tank I yell "Help!" right before getting smashed. At least it should look funny on their screens...

I remapped the MAX special key to my alt key since its right next to the space bar which was the old way.

I really wish I knew why they changed keybindings like this after people have been playing for so many months and have gotten used to it.

Can't explain why they didn't mention it, but I'm guessing they made spacebar jump because thats what a normal infantry uses.

Special Mode 'K' key for infil then ties up to special mode for MAX.

There's logic in there somewhere, and keeping it as it was and making a jump key for max a different key would just confuse people even more (although I imagine less people than changing the spacebar key).

In the end I made special mode ALT so its a quick thumb shift from the normal spacebar (and being Vanu, I tend to get a higher jump using jumpjets after i've normal jumped).

I remapped all my "special ability" keys to my middle mouse button. Sure makes it a lot easier. If I'm using my VS char, I can jump and use my MAX jets right after, which brings back the old Tribesy feelin

I'd do that but I mapped my middle mouse key to be F1 so it's easier to use surge or DL depending on the char.
