Dealing with the power supply for a new graphics card...

My computer is a shuttle barebone. It has a 200 watt power supply. I am planning to upgrade to a Radeon 9600 XT. I am afraid I will burn out my PSU. My computers components are...
-160gb hard drive
-cdrw/dvd drive
-floppy drive
-integrated sound and graphics card
-AMD athlon 2400+
My questions are, if I were to add the new card would it burn out the PSU? and is there any program I can use to check the power usage in watts? Thank you.

No you could get away with a Radeon 9800pro if you wanted to.

If its a newer shuttle that can fit a full sized card you can put it in, the 9600 XT doen't even need an extra power suplyform wha tit gets form to mobo

It is a SN41G2 (Official site: http://us.shuttle.com/specs_access.asp?pro_id=284 ) think thats new enough. i forgot to mention I have 1gb of DDR SDRAM for if it matters. If I get the 9600 XT do you think I might blow out my PSU?

The PS's in the shuttle barebones units are not typical PS's. Don't worry about the 200 watt rating. This does not mean how much juice its putting out. It will power a 9600XT easy. I know plenty of ppl that put 9700 Pro's in those systems and the PS handles it easy. As for monitoring your PS, there are plenty of tools on the net you can use. I think Motherboard monitor will do it, also just look in bios.

You can't really get a better PSU, the mini-cases use specialized PSU's. That 200 is plenty, b/c they rate them much different than normal ones.

if you have an extra molex plug that the 9800 XT needs yes it will work
