Falling damage

What's up with jumping off of a 30 foot tower in full armor and running around like nothing happened? Seems a little odd.

Yeah, I do that all the time, yet get in a MAx and run across slightly uneven terrain and you'll take well over 30 damage for it. At least, I usually do, and I don't know why it does it. Must be the client-side hit detection.

You think that's bad, in the caverns you can walk off the edge of one of the ceiling buildings, land on the ground and survive.

NC MAXs can tap on their shields right before they hit the ground and take no damage, but thats been like that since beta.

Also, proper use of jump jets stop 100% of damage to VS maxs from this type of damage.

Falling damage is weird SL.

I drove my AMS off a mountain side in Solsar last night and just closed my eyes b/c all I saw was sky below me and I miraculously survived. Then there are those nights where I fall down a 25 foot ridge and blow up.... go fig?

Falling damage makes no sense at all. At least they fixed it where running up and down steps doesnt require Medical or health kits As it is now however, you can fall from a top cavern on purpose to the floor and survive, while running from base to base in an Infil suite requires Medical...ridiculous

Devs hate the TR, plain and simple, they all play NC and VS.

Yet when you're an infiltrator and you try that, you take a ton of damage.

What's even worse is, when you're running with surge and you go over a tiny bump in the road... you take five to ten points of damage.

No it's not. Some people actually believe it. I know I do- I've been saying this since SmokeJumper disappeared- he was the only TR Developer. remember that guy? You see all these developers in their in-game monkey suits and they're all NC and VS. TR have been nerfed back to the Stone Age, and the Vanu get the shitty end of the stick occasionally but only after a million people threaten to quit unless the Noob-Rider and Lasher get nerfed.

I hate when people think that everything in life has some kind of conspiracy behind it. Why the hell would the devs hate the TR? They worked just as hard to create all their models as they did with the VS and NC. ANd Smokejumper didnt mysteriously "disappear," moron. He just stopped posting because he's sick of people like you making outrageous claims about SOE.

Firefly's day at SOE:

Dev1: "How about we nerf the prowler AGAIN and give the Magrider's rail beam more damage?"
Dev2: "Yea! That'll show those lousy TR!"
