ok so i got my new 3d card that works great....untill......
it resets my comp after about 2-3 hours and says it was over clocked, this used to happen to me when i first got my last card to the 9700 pro, i fixed it by down loading a different "tweaker" but the one i used for my 9700 doesnt work on the 9800 xt... any one know a good one to use ? many thanks |

Maybe you have overdrive turned on, make shure in your Ati control panel it is turned off, if that doesnt work try reinstalling your drivers.
If it is a BIOS ClockSpeed issue, ask Rbstr about that. I have never overclocked, you have a fast enough card no need to overclock it IMO |

throw on some omera drivers and bring it back down. www.omegacorner.com |

Well you could always download a utility like Hercules 3d Tweaker and manually set the GPU and memory chip frequencies at stock settings. You can download it here
If that doesn't work, I'd check your BIOS settings. Make sure your AGP bus isn't overclocked too much, its possible that is causing the problem... Hope that helps. Edit: Oops didn't even see Surge's post. I pretty much said the same thing as him... Yeah, RAD linker works well (I use it) but if u don't have/want Omega drivers I'd use the Hercules 3d Tweaker. (Surge is right tho, if you don't have Omega drivers, you probably should. You have a very kickass vid card, now get some drivers for it that will unlock its true potential!) I use Omega 3.10's with my Radeon 9600np.
I use the overclocker that came with it that is 3dProfiler. It has never given me trouble and it gives pretty good results IMO. Try those Omega Drivers out and try 3dProf, you might like it.
