I plan to be a pilot in PS and am wondering wich team I should join. I know all the teams have the same airctaft. Mabey one team has better anti-air. I would want to be on that team because i wouldn't have to face that powerful anti-air in the field. Also, mabey one team is good at taking out anti-air things. Thanks for you help. Feal free to ask any questions to help you help me.

... I believe all MAXes have equal anti-air weapons, and most infantry held weapons won't have much affect on air units(I believe) So join the New Conglomerate because we own... or just see which race suits you the best.

I think all the AA MAXes will be on pretty even terms. That brings it down to the infantry weapons.
NC: Phoenix. Not so hot in the AA category... makes up for it in other places, IMNSHO. VS: Lancer. Fast projectile. I'm guessing it'll be reasonably effective. TR: Striker. Watch your @$$. Fire and forget tracking projectile. Sucks to be you. It'll really depend on just how hard it is to evade/outrun its missiles. Other considerations? Lessee here. The tanks AA ability. TR: Pretty damn good, providing there's a third gunner. Dual heavy chainguns. Yow. And if the dual 100mm cannons have a ROF anything like the 75mm on the Lightening, it just might do the trick too. NC: Not too shabby. Dual 20mm cannon. 2 of what's mounted on each gunner position on the Galaxy. VS: Hard to tell. It depends on the ROF and projectile speed of the turret weapon... and there is just that one weapon. Maybe it'll have multiple settings, similar to the pulsar and beamer. I don't think the driver-controlled thing up front will help much. The empire-specific assault rifles all seem pretty even in terms of AA ability. And the empire-specific pistols don't count. It's a pistol! C'mon... be serious. I don't think the buggies will be too hot at AA either, regardless of which empire it's from. I don't know that any of those weapons will be able to elevate well enough to contribute. So in my never-actually-played-shootin-from-the-hip opinion... I wouldn't want the striker pointed at me, so go TR. |
