Internet connection randomly disconnects and connects

This is a very annoying problem, my connection has been lost some number of times this morning. It can't be the ISP, I've checked all the other PCs and they were absolutely fine.

Check your ports first, then check the connection to your cable box.

If none of that works, do a virus and spyware check.

Google for Ad-aware or Spybot - Search and destroy. Both are pretty good.

Used SpyBot and Ad-Aware 6. Nothing seems to work, I've also discovered that Mozilla is quite the resource hog. Mem Usage is 24 416 K.

Misc Info

bliz had a problem with that on his onboard dell when using certain cat5 cables. installing another card and using a different cable both solved that problem. as mentioned already, try different ports on your hub/switch

System disconnects

Mate you have a virus or worm.
Download this free anti-virus prog,www.grisoft.com it's called AVG and it works better than Norton or McAffee anti virus.
