Super Spyware attack!

I don't know what kind of spyware this is but its extremely powerful. It even set up its own search bar on my computer! whats a good way to get rid of this thing? Spybot won't let be get rid of it with out buying their program!

Use a combination of Adaware, Hijackthis, and the Adaware forums.

The Adaware forum mods will let you know what you want to remove with Hijackthis.

Hijackthis is an extremely powerful tool, but be careful as to what you have it remove.

Well since this is a Spyware S&D discussion I was wonderin what can I do because when I run spyware it goes fine but after a while it goes to taking up 100% of my CPU and it just freezes and no I don't have a sucky computer.

If you have XP, you could use system restore (it is wtfpwn). Thank Infernus for teaching me how to do this.

Start > Run msconfig > Launch System Restore. Then choose a date before you started getting the spyware.

I would run the ADAWARE first; get the download for free, run the update and run the adaware.
Then reboot, and try it again

Also, you can get REGCLEAN; also free - this will clean your registry and make a backup for you too (www.downloads.com: search for regclean)

If this fails and you are still having issues, go get zonealarm and start it up - this will monitor all activity going into and out of your PC: NOTE- most firewalls work by searching the 'input' side of your network connection- zonealarm checks both. You can effectily close down any unwanted traffic going out of your pc.
