I don't actually like most of the new content that is about to be added, but I'm definately not going to complain about it once it is in, because at least it will keep the game fresh and interesting.

To me, it only looks like one robot is out of Macross, it's the VS one. I don't think these BFRs can transform into jet fighters either, so the relation between Macross and BFRs is purely in the sense that both are human controlled robots.

Meteor showers and earthquakes are just fun random stuff that happens, curtesy of the developers. I don't believe that they will be occuring too often. I don't even think that they will stay in-game. Then again, I could be wrong about those two statements above, but I feel I am right about the first.

3 (minor) points can't possibly justify damnation of this game to hell.

Define "good" because the word "good" to you could mean "great" for someone else, and "horrible" for another person. Were you not the same person who TKed your own teammates who got in the way. You shotgunned snipers sniping from doorways. And done various other things against your own empire?

The developers are on the eve (maybe) of releasing a patch that would finally balance out the MAX suits with the rest of the game (I still wish they would get rid of uni-max). The TR MAXes are finally useful. AV MAXes are actually usable (sort of).

The soldiers and weapons in your regular grunt infantry are already balanced (regardless of what other people may say). As is the armor.

All that is left to balance/fix are the empire incentives, the vehicles, some bugs, some other good stuff, blah blah blah.
