if your area is known to have more snow, they are better prepared for it so the roads will be in better condition. in places like jersey who don't much snow, they aren't as prepared so when they get a few inches they think "OMG we've been hit by a blizzard, school off for 3 days." |

Yeah up here in the Northeast US, the only way school gets canceled is if theres so much snow that they literally can't get you there. And I go to college. They ALWAYS assume you can get to class, no matter the weather.
But anyhow, its bad here in New York, not as bad as it is for Hamma and Jenny, but still pretty damn snowed in. Let me put it this way. I had to take a shovel and dig our mailbox out just so the postal service can actually deliver our mail. Last edited by Electrofreak; 2005-01-23 at 07:06 PM. |
