Flying School, With Led (AKA TankGirl)

Today i was playing some desert combat with Led (AkA TankGirl) and damn can she fly. I was her gunner alot of the time (ok alll the time) becuase she pwned everyone, she'd hover real low to the bunker and i'd MG the weiners huddle up in there, it was fun!

You were a great gunner, Squeek. Most of the time people just use me as a taxi, lol :P

do it hamma, then hop on PSU/AGN/CDL tmspk, ho, lunar, fish, sputty, and alot of people are usually on and play DC alot. We can organize a game and i can pwn you

It's quite fun but it takes the difficulty out of bombing with the A10(strafing with guns will kill any soldier..or tanks...or anything really quickly) but the Apache, which is probably the best AT weapon if used properly, can dish out some rocket based death while the gunner still has ammo. IMO the apache is the best aircraft, althouygh more difficult to fly than the planes. Hamma, get the mod installed and we can play some DC with alot of people

Led, I hvae trouble truly hovering. What throttle % would you say you are at when you hover? I can almost hover but just not quite. Well, I guess I can test it out in single player. I mlearned to fly the apache there. Also, can't wait for the hind and black hawk to be released. It'll be fun to transport people in those...

I spent hours one day playing with the apache, i can get it to a near dead still hover with practicing

It is a MMO and semi persistant. It has a free two week trial. MOst fighting is set in world war two planes (and there is a great selection of them). As a noob, you have accest to almost all of the planes available. It has a nice flight engine and is tons of dogfighting fun. I am new to it, but if anyone has any questions about it feel free to PM me.

I hit a chopper yesterday with 5 missiles from a F15. Barely started smoking. Theres some weapon balancing to be done yet.

Heh, the Apache is supposed to have alot of armor but at the same time the missiles need to somehow guide against other air. Too ahrd to fight air-to-air IMO to be effective. I can easily outmanuever people in MIGs with an A10.

I just repeatedly tap the W key I use teh moose and keybard :silly: I also fly in nosecam view.

And yes, Derfud, if there is a chopper available, I will fly it the entire map, hehe. It is the only thing presenting a challenge in BF anymore. Tanking is too easy, fighting on foot is dreary, and the fixed wing aircraft are way too cheesy. Plus hard to fly with a moose
