Nope, you can get everything necessary to get the imprint, but you can't get the cert itself... but be sure to catch a ride as a gunner on the ground variant types!

plaine and simply No, you need the core combat expansion which you need to buy first then pay for an account, plus you would need to cert other things before you can get it such as armored assalt 1 & 2 then cert BFR and then if you want anti-inf and Anti-air then you need to cert 2 more things so you would need 7-9 cert points for a BFR.

no in general.

today, BFR's get easily killed by 1 deci grunt, or couple Air/tanks headon. when they were first implemented tehy were much stronger but luckily got nerfed a lot
