Random question: Firefox window resizing

I use tab mix plus and have it set to open all new windows in new tabs. Every once in a while a website thinks its making a pop up, ends up opening it in a new tab and resizing my entire browser to the size of the pop up. Is there any possible way to tell firefox to ignore all window resize commands unless I specifically tell it to resize the window?

That's annoyed me as well, doubt there is any way to avoid it though.
