Cheats, and Viruses

Continuing some community news, Sporkfire has posted a warning regarding cheats, and possible viruses.

This is a reminder that exploiting bugs, modifying any part of the PlanetSide software or the use of third-party programs to gain an unfair advantage over other players in PlanetSide is strictly forbidden. Sharing information on these subject with the PlanetSide community is not allowed. If you have any information on any of these, please use the /bug command in game or send email to [email protected] to describe your findings. Please be sure to read the PlanetSide Rules of Conduct for further information.
Specifically, there have been reports of a third-party program that supposedly bypasses certain checks in the game to allow you to instanting unlearn mutiple certifications at a time, without waiting through the 24-hour wait period. We have received reports that the web site hosting this program actually downloads a virus to your system when you visit it. Whether these reports are accurate or not, we wanted to alert that community that these sorts of programs:
1) Are in violation of our Rules of Conduct
2) May not be all that they promise and could have serious ramifications on your entire PC

Last night there were several posts on PSU IRC as well as the Forums relating to this warning, I downloaded and confirmed that the link was a virus. So if you happened to see that post or visit that link before it was removed I highly recommend a virus scan of your system.
