Re: Show off your Gaming Rig...

hrm:
i5 740
4gb of DDR3 at whatever speed I forgot.
Asus mobo
assorted hard disks...I think my main is a 1tb WD green.
275GTX....eVGA?
PCI-e X-fi soundcard.
sweet black brushed aluminum Lian Li case that's crazy quiet.
23in 1080p LED Asus monitor (it's GLORIOUS!)

I think I'm gonna do some upgrading with the tax refund: 4 more gigs of ram, new HD and a clean install. perhaps a new video card. I'm getting this intermittent freezing issue after periods of inactivity, I think it's hard disk based.

Grim if you overclock that Q6600 you will breath life into that system. Depending on the stepping you can get between 3.0GHz to 3.6GHz. 2.4 to 3.6 would yield a theoretical 50% performance boost. G0 will let you get the highest. That will be comparable to almost any Phenom II squad at the moment. Only thing holding it back is the current speed its running. The 8800 GTS 512 was a beast during its time as well.
