That's the title of IGN's article
"The online Auction House to be implemented through Battle.net for Blizzard's upcoming action-role-playing game will allow you to put in-game items up for sale for real money. You set the price, other players bid or buy out, you make the profit. " Interesting system http://pc.ign.com/articles/118/1185020p1.html There's a few more articles at IGN.com about it requiring a constant online connection, and other stuff. |

And all across the Peoples Republic of China, gold-selling prison wardens let loose a cheer whilst gold-farming prisoners cried a tear for baby Jesus. And elsewhere in the world, MMO-RPG players across the globe await with baited breath for potential relief from the massive walls of gold-spam as little Communist capitalists march towards Diablo III.

Meh, I'd rather get into the beta for POE: http://www.pathofexile.com/
Its what diablo3 should had looked like holding firm to its tradition of dark and gritty gameplay. Not to mention this game unlike D3 will be F2p and will probably be released sooner then diablo. |

It's a whole new era for slavery. Why force your kids to farm in WoW illegally when Diablo has a system for it lol.
I think it's first E3 was in 09, so I don't think so They also mentioned it would be on the console versions too.

Since it's not a subscription game I guess they have to find some way to fund the servers over an extended period of time....

Aslong as there is a way to get the items without paying for it with real money and you can earn it ingame i guess ill be alright with it, but i still dont understand you have to be online even when your playing single player

This already happens in D2, blizzard are simply streamlining the process and making it more secure for players who do want to use real money to purchase items, of course while making some profit.
they now open up another can of worms with since the item is paid for in real money, who owns the item, or the virtually currency, i guess still blizzard, but I guess their lawyers are already all over that. I too was outraged when i first herd it, but giving it some thought, checking out their reasoning behind it then meh. |
