Instead of loading stuff in an invisible trunks, hey, let's make our vehicles rock the battle-ready veteran look, like WWII (especially German) combat vehicles with externally customizable inventory!
Tow ropes, extra ammo, med crates, engie crates, camo netting, whatever can be useful in the game, just slap it on the outside of the tank. I don't mean worthless cosmetics like chrome skull Schrader-valve caps for the tires, but, stuff that can be used in-game. Such as rockets for the deci, extra tank treads, glue crates, mines, whatever. Stuff that others can shoot at and destroy, too, I might add. In addition to individualized camo schemes, so you have a selection, not just "Refugee from the navy" NC blue and yellow or whatever. I don't mean user-created camo; that would end up with stuff like the Playboy tank replete with anatomy-lesson photos or GKW. |

Reminds me of why building German military models when I was a kid was much more fun than building Allied models: The vast variation in colors, paint schemes, (sometimes it was, literally, a mud scheme) and equipment welded/roped/whatever on the outside of the vehicle in various levels of disrepair.
Testosterone enjoys grubby, gritty, and modified things. It's a guy thing. |
