But I do agree, can't come up with any situation where one would look at anyones eye in game that closely for it to matter. Would've rather had boarding animations, but I'm 99% sure that would've been a crapload of more work. Looks amazing though, BF3 is now outdated

I don't want to steal any of the hype, but environment mapping is only a few lines of code in a shader. I guess it's cool that it's being applied to an eye, but it's mostly a gimmick.
