Jackhammer vs sweeper

I looked at other post but lots from 2003 and I'm on me phone,

From what i think Sweepers better in mid range in a base but jackhammer is better close up in the face.
Jackhammer seems shocking when e.g in a base but far away and get smashed by other HA weapons

What you think?

I think both are fine weapons and a Sweeper in the right hands is better than a JH in the wrong hands.

Sweeper has the range advantage on the Jackhammer but considering well over 50% of all fights in PS take place in bases/towers/close quarters JH is almost always the better choice.

Sweeper is definitely cooler though.

The sweeper is more accurate than the JH, it is superior at longer ranges. But only slightly.

The jackhammer has more ammo, fires faster and fires 2 more pellets per shot and has a wider COF. It is better at close closer range. I've beaten the JH with the Sweeper at mid range agile vs agile as it takes the JH and Sweeper the same amount of shots to kill, but at close range, the JH will win every time and Rexo v Rexo, the JHs extra damage shows itself. Takes 3 JH shots to kill, but 4 sweeper shots against Rexo.

I swear by the sweeper against the MCG and Lasher, but against the JH, the sweeper pales in comparison.

Used to be a huge difference. Since the Sweeper buff and JH nerf, I'm not quite sure if the JH is worth the extra 4 cert points. It's nice to be able to kill 3-4 enemies consistently in a single clip with the JH, but the sweeper can still kill 2-3 in a clip. Faster holster/unholster and reload is pretty nice as well.

- JH tripleshot is now worthless unless you're point blank on an enemy with around 60% health and armor
- Sweeper clip increased from 8 to 12
- Sweeper has tighter spread


The JH's only advantage is extra damage (not that much) and and 4 more shots. Is that worth 4 certs? The only reason I have HA certed on my NC currently is because I have a locker full of MCGs and a couple malestroms.

I was just going to say, screw the JH... 4 certs for one gun? No thank you... Spread those certs out folks... Learn to use the sweeper cause it does rock!

Sweeper all the way, for the jackhammer to be effective at all it has to be used as a melee weapon.

But I do love the sweeper, mostly because the lasher is depressingly average at everything.
